Henry Zeng has been a Senior Designer and Partner with Steinberg for more than 13 years. After receiving a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon, he became a Registered Architect in California and Texas. He has been a key member of design teams with some of Silicon Valley’s top developers and most prestigious public institutions, including Stanford University. He has been awarded by the AIA and ASAI in the United States. Also, he has been a guest critic for UC Berkeley and Oregon University. Since 2009, he has been Steinberg’s Chief Representative in the firm’s Shanghai office, helping to build the firm’s presence in Asia with large-scale development and university planning projects.
Henry grew up in China and was trained as an Architect at Southeast University in Nanjing, where he graduated with top honors. He worked on many significant projects with a Chinese Architectural Design Institute, and then moved to the United States for 20 years to continue his career and advance his education. From his combined Chinese and Western influences, Henry gained a profound understanding of Architectural style, quality, and detail with a special emphasis on high-end residential and public buildings.
In addition to his more than 20 years design experience, Henry is also a highly recognized architectural artist. His work has received top awards from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, and has been published in numerous books and publications in both the United States and China.
